Yeah, I thought I'd let you all know I'm still alive around here...
I still need to update my w.bloggar software. Writing HTML is the pits.
Speaking of Fun with Coding...check out what Piro's doing these days < whine > His display is so much cooler than mine! < /whine > Seriously, the new MT site should look pretty sw33t after he's all done slogging through a coding nightmare. He's trying to make sure that everyone can see and use the site easily, so show him some love.
And don't think that I haven't been going to anime club during my hiatus(whoa, double negative). Oh, no, we've been seeing some interesting stuff lately, including Magical Shopping Arcade Abenoshi, One Piece, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Gunslinger Girl (!!) Azumanga Daioh, Last Exile(thanks Jun for lending me the tapes, I'm loving it), a Very Freaky Episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion, revisiting favorites such as Hellsing and kickin' it old school with Maison Ikkoku. I will indeed have a more formal report in the days to come; I've got about three or four weeks to catch up on.
This brings up a good point; I post our reactions and synopsis of what we watch just for information's sake. I know how frustrating it can be to hear about a show, go out and buy the disc, and then discover that you hate it. You can read stuff on ANN and in Newtype USA, Anime Insider, and Animerica, but I dunno. We're not getting paid for our reactions, and if you're thinking about starting an anime club, or looking for stuff to show, maybe we can inspire you. I guess I've sort of become the unofficial historian, and this helps Jun, our librarian, too ^_^
What I don't understand is why my blog archives suddenly go into this black hole six months after I post. Maybe there's something I didn't learn about archiving...eep.
Well, that's it for the moment. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. Shout out to Yuuji, Mr. Wizard, Berserker, Jun, Michael, and the rest of the Peanut Gallery--I won't see you anime junkies this week, but I'll be back next week.
