Roger Smith is a professional man, a Negotiator, a man who gets things done in Paradigm City, a city of no memories. Working with him are R. Dorothy Wayneright, a grieving father's tribute to his lost daughter, and Norman Burg, master butler and mechanic extraordinaire . From time to time, he's helped by a man with his ear to the ground, the Chief of Police, and a mysterious woman of many names, who says, "Call me Angel."
Roger's not-so-secret advantage is the "Big 'O,'" a giant robot he pilots to defend the city from those intent on causing destruction. But it begs the question, one Roger himself asks, "How is it that I know how to use this thing?"
