Travel Plans and Finding Base

Jon was sitting with Blue Grass as the pilot flew them through space.  The immortals had a lot of inventors on their team.  But then Jon figured with as old as some of them were, they had time to work the flaws out of their designs.  Jon groaned as he heard a growl come from Angelus.  Jon didn't even have to turn around to know what caused it.

"Aurora, stop antagonizing Angelus.  We need him," Jon called back.  He looked over his shoulder towards the back and saw Aurora sit back on one side of the ship and Angelus resumed his seat on the other.  In truth, Jon didn't want Aurora hurt by the big vampire. Unlike Angel, Angelus would enjoy the pain he caused.  And Jon knew from reading up no him that Angelus would hurt her if she pushed too far.  He had two hundred years more experience on her and he would use it.  Jon sighed as he looked over his team.  Two more people were on loan only.  Ethan Rayne and Rupert Giles.  Ethan didn't say much.  He was another magic user, as was Giles but Ethan's magic was Chaos.

Ethan stayed with Giles and Derek.  From what he had figured out, Ethan was Derek's half brother.  Jon wondered why Ethan was so unsure of himself around them but had a bad feeling the answer was not good.  He looked over at Blade and Vicious who were working on a design with Billy Cranston, The Shadow and his mate Jason sat on the arm of his chair watching what he did.  Aurora had nearly gotten her hand bitten off by Jason but that Jon fully understood.  He didn't know the why of the bond between Sentinel and Guide but he knew the bond was there and it was protective.  She hadn't gone near Billy again.

"You okay up here Mike?" Jon asked as he stood.  Mike nodded knowing there was an autopilot on this ship he could use when he got tired.  He watched Jon head to the back of the ship where everyone was sitting.  It was an interesting team they had now, Blue Grass thought. Dark Angelus, he who could get information from anyone.  Not that Blue Grass wanted to watch him work.  He'd seen how the immortals got information and that was sometimes bad enough.  Angelus, Jon had told him, was a master at pain and information extraction.

Spike, Angelus' Childe…son for lack of a better word as he had raised him.  He loved a good fight from what Blue Grass could see.  He'd watched Spike fight in one of the distraction brawls.  He was good.  In his fighting, Blue Grass had learned why Spike was named Slayer of Slayers.

Angel, Angelus' twin.  He had been something else at one time but Blue Grass got confused thinking about how they were one being then split into two.  He was a fighter as well.

Ethan, Giles and Derek were the old school, ass kicking tough guys.  Ethan was magic, Giles was knowledge and Derek was skill.  They were formidable team magic wise.  Amy and the man called Hot Wing stood off to the side discussing Elemental Magic.  The Kidd was the Mimian, math whiz.  He was very good at equations.  He and young Billy, The Shadow.  Billy was powerful in the Shadow elements as Hot Wing called them.  Something about Billy's family apparently although that was something else Blue Grass didn't quite understand.  Jon said it was because they were raised Christian and the rest of this group apparently wasn't.  Some had the upbringing but had apparently changed to more open faiths.

Aurora stood on the side of the plane now as she watched Angelus.  She was in the fight rings but Blue Grass knew Angelus wasn't.  The reason being he could quite easily kill anyone he fought with.  Blue Grass knew she had been gunning for Vicious in the rings before this had come up and maybe when they got things settled for a bit it would come out to a fight between them.  They seemed to hate each other for some odd reason or another.  And then there was the money issue.  Blue Grass wasn't sure he trusted someone only in this for the money.  He had more trust in Angelus and Spike who according to the bible were evil.

Across the room was Billy's mate Jason.  Jason was the tough guy.  He was Billy's protector as well as something called a Sentinel.  Yet another thing that predated Christianity.  Like Ares whom Blue Grass knew could hear every thought and word from any soldier.  That guy was scary.  While he did wear clothes, they weren't a toga and sandals.  Ares wore black leather and carried a big ass sword.  That meeting had been one for the record books.

Blue Grass turned his attention back to the group.  Blade and Vicious were working over a computer model with Billy still.  Those two were enigmas.  They could do a lot but they only focused on one thing.

And finally, Blue Grass's eyes came to rest on Jon.  His teammate and the only person here he really knew.  Everyone else was a stranger.  He knew Blade and Vicious best he supposed.  If one could count getting his butt slammed by Vicious for three days knowing.

"We're here," he said as he registered the bird on the asteroid ahead of him.  "Hawk haven."

"What a bleedin' mess," Spike said as they got out of the ship.  "Oh. Well.  Guess we clean up. Eh."

Angelus nodded and allotted tasks.  They wouldn't start until the next day though.  They needed to rest first.
