Sibling A-Rivalry

Zero, the memory thief, Hardware, and WindHammer had broken into the bank world of Dolar. They had Lord Cash tied up and Zero was trying to get his claws on the security chief, Got Bucks. The robot went as fast as his wheels could carry him. His memory banks accessed the last time he had encountered the memory thief. It was his first night on the job and he was stolen away to Brim*Star. That fiend stole the information about the new security precautions in the bank. With the help of the Copper Kid nothing was taken that day. Today, no help, just himself. Zero had tripped over a chest sticking out of the mountains of gold disks on the ground. Wind hammer took matters into his own hands. He banged his weather altering tuning fork against the control console and conjured up a cyclone. The cyclone in turn started a tsunami of gold disks. Got Bucks was overcome and buried under the newly formed mountain of money.

Soon the mobsters were shoveling as much as they could into large sacks. No one noticed that another someone had gotten into the bank. The stranger watched the whole chase from up on one of the crystal columns. She wasn't sure about sticking around, the stories of jewels here seems false, when she saw that the one called Zero uncovered a patch of emeralds and sapphires. The lioness like creature decided to pounce, landing on all fours. The trio jumped back in surprise. She stood upright "I am Anissina, the greatest jewel thief in the universe. I'll be taking those." She grinned, pointing to the sapphires and emeralds. "And anyone objects, they'll be light up like the sun." Anissina continued extending the claws on her left hand. She touched the tips of two claws together and sparks flew from them.

Without much fuss Anissina had orchestrated the trio to remove the jewels for her. She maybe the greatest jewel thief, but, why do something when you can get other to?

Behind the backs of the criminal Lord Cash had managed to active the communication system with his feet. "Commander Stargazer..." he whispered. "Stargazer here."

"The bank world is being robbed."

The alert was out and the commander sent out Comet, Quicksilver, Hotwing and Bluegrass.

Anissina was still overseeing the collection of the jewels in Dolar when WindHammer uncovered a giant diamond. Everyone was astonished, it had to be the size of a large dog. "Give that to me, now!" Anissina ordered rushing over and snatching the diamond away from WindHammer. "Your much bigger that the giant pearl I stole from the ocean planet!" She thought. Her glory was short lived when a laser shot the oversized gem out of her hand. Anissina sneered as she looked up to see the Quicksilver, followed by comet and Hotwing, gliding down. "Who are they?" She screeched. "The SilverHawks... Get used to them if your going to stay in this galaxy." Hardware answered. "No one does that to me and lives." Anissina proclaimed as she began climbing a near by crystal tower using her oversized claws. She waited and jumped on the back of Comet and began thrashing her metal wings. Soon Comet began to swerve out of control. "Hey! Stop that!" She yelled trying to regain her balance. Anissina merely laughed as she continued to beat on Comet. Now she could no longer stay airborne. Both fell to the ground hard. Hotwing and Quicksilver were fighting to trio of Mobsters. Comet was on her own against this new foe. She quickly regained her composure. "Your a fun little toy to play with. What else can you do?" Anissina jeered. Wordlessly Comet drew one of the Liquid Diamond spikes from her headdress. It instantly extended to a spear like object. "This should be good." Anissina thought confidently.

Sparks flew like fireworks when Comet struck Anissina’s terrible claws. The woman-beast hissed in annoyance. The two adversaries seemed to be in a dance of battle as they each blocked the others attacks.

"Hmm. You are good, SilverHawk. It's nice to have a challenge, but I'm growing tired of this dance. One of us is going to have to sit this one out!"

Zero and WindHammer had some how managed to fight off Hotwing and Quicksilver making a get-a-way with some of the loot. Hardware got away using the Prowler, a portable flying machine resembling a pterodactyl.

Comet, though no longer in her youth could still hold her own, but, not forever. Anissina had beaten her down and was ready to go for the kill. She powered up her laser claws for one final blast.

Quicksilver and Hotwing raced back to the main vault know Comet would need help with the new enemy. They the doorway to the vault to see Anissina ready to deliver the final blow to Comet. Without words Hotwing prepared to perform his teleportation spell. It all happen too fast for anyone to immediately tell what happened. Both HotWing's spell and Anissina laser reached Comet at what appeared to be the same time. When the smoke cleared Comet was gone from where she had fallen. Confused Anissina turned around to see Comet being propped up by Hotwing.

"Hmmm...these SilverHawks are full of all kinds of tricks."

Quicksilver could see Comet was injured and called for a retreat.

"What, leaving so soon? I guess I'm a little too rough for your taste. You're not going to get very far, though!"

Anissina began to pursue her retreating enemies.

The trio of Hawks reached the outside of the bank world just ahead of Anissina. Quicksilver called Bluegrass to get them out of there fast.

Anissina raced across the main vault as fast as her lengthy legs would take her. She caught up with her foes as they were boarding the Mirage.

Quicksilver and the others boarded the Mirage just in time. Anissina jumped on top of the cockpit of the Mirage and pressed her face against the glass, sneering at the pilot.

"What in Sam Hill is that thing?" The beast like female began to pound away at the glass above Bluegrass's head. He then took evasive action to try and shake her off, but she had a pretty good grip on the vehicle.

It was impossible to shake the mystery villainesse. She continued to pound away at the only thing separating Bluegrass from her wrath. The cowboy got his laser guitar, Hot Licks ready. Just as Anissina broke through he played a powerful chord that blasted her backwards and nearly off the Mirage. "I'm getting really sick of these little tricks!" she screamed, jumping back up.

"Dang it! Looks like we need back-up!" Bluegrass shouted to Quicksilver while trying to keep the beast woman at bay.

"I'm on it, Bluegrass!" Quicksilver summoned Tallyhawk and also sent out a distress call to the SprintHawk, which was being piloted by SteelHeart nearby.

(Detia)
"Quicksilver calling SteelHeart! Quicksilver calling SteelHeart! The Maraj is under attack! We're in need of immediate assistance!"

"I'm on my way, Lieutenant! What are your coordinates?"

Quicksilver provided SteelHeart with the coordinates. SteelHeart then rushed to their rescue.

"What in Limbo is that creature? Oh well, I'd better shoot now and ask questions later. It looks like it's trying to rip the Maraj apart!"

Anissina snarled as a laser shot past her, narrowly missing her. She looked up briefly to see another blasted SilverHawk!! *Wait a minute* she thought *this one is female.* She fiddled at her side for a moment, then flung the object she had taken out of a hidden pocket at Steelheart.

"Well, at least I got her attention" Steelheart muttered to herself. "who is that?! I've never seen this one before"

Just then, there was a powerful explosion right in front of 'Heart's face, sending her reeling backwards head over heels into space for a few seconds before she could stop and right herself. She saw that she had been knocked several hundred meters away from the Maraj, where Bluegrass was valiantly struggling to keep the mystery creature at bay with his guitar.

"Ok, lady, looks like I'm going to have to use my last resort!" Bluegrass then separated to Hot Seat from the rest of the space craft. He then dove straight for Dolar. Anissina could see the planet coming up behind her fast. Just as the Hot Seat was about to crash into Dolar, the hot shot pilot made a sharp turn causing the lion-like creature to loose her grip. She growled in frustration as she landed hard on the surface. Bluegrass didn't wait to see if she would get back up.

"All right Hawks, time for us to skeedaddle!" The Colonel reattached the Hot Seat and the Maraj shot off to Hawk Haven with the Sprint Hawk close behind. They all knew that had some report to give to the Commander!

When the group got back to Hawk Haven SteelHeart helped Comet down to the lab to begin repairs on her wings and armor. The rest headed straight for the commander's office.

The trio gave Stargazer a complete account of their battle with the strange beast woman. When they were finished he punch her description into the console on his desk. In seconds a matching file came up on the monitor. Only her name, physical description and criminal record were filled in. Other stats like age and home planet were left blank.

"Anissina, expert jewel thief. From her stats, she does look pretty dangerous."

"Pretty dangerous, Commander? The heifer nearly tore the Mirage apart with her bare hands! I'd say she's more deadly than a diamondback with an overbite!"

"This Anissina did some pretty extensive damage to Comet," a concerned Quicksilver added.

"From what the Steel Twins have told me, she'll be on the sidelines for a few days. The good news is that she will recover."

Anissina managed to catch a ride from Seymour to Fence.

Zeek was his usual annoying self.

"Here kitty, kitty! Want to buy a fish?" he said waving the sea food in front of Anissina’s nose.

The beast woman said nothing as she extended her claws and took a swipe at Zeek, who quickly ducked.

"Hey! That's my relief driver your trying to kill."

Anissina decided to save it and sat back giving a nasty stare to Zeek.

Seymour got his fare to her destination without any further incident.

After the cab left she wasted no time in barging into the Sini-Star Diner and making a quick scan of the room.

Anissina found her target and pounced on a table. Playing cards and gold coins flew into the air. They remained suspended in the strange gravity of the planet Fence. The table's occupants fell backwards in their chairs. Anissina grabbed the one that resembled a rhinoceros.

"You didn't tell me about any SilverHawks!" she growled as she extended the claws of her free hand.

Before she could do anything else Anissina heard an familiar voice.

"No one talks about Mon*Star like that and lives!"

The beast woman threw the rhino-like alien down and turned around to see a giant covered in red armor.

"Your not Mon*Star!" she laughed. "You sound like my brother, but, your not him!"

"You never were too bright, Anissina," Mon*Star grumbled.

"How did you know my name?"

"I'm your brother, you stupid broad!"

"Why do you look like that?"

"I can transform using the power of the Moon Star. Anyway, back to the business at hand. I'm pretty ticked off that you foiled my boys' bank robbery! Whatever you took is mine, so hand it over!"

"The Moon*Star?! What has my brother been doing in this dimension." Anissina thought.

"Yours?! Who do you think you are? Besides, I didn't get anything because I ended up fighting the SilverHawks. Even if I did you wouldn't get squat from me!" the lioness replied as she fired an energy blast from her claws.

Mon*Star laughed as the blast bounced harmlessly off of his armor.

"You were always a pain in the butt, little sister. Did you really think you could harm me? You think you're as powerful as I? Well, here's a taste of the Light Star!"

Everyone else in the Sini*Star Diner took cover as Mon*Star aimed his terrible power at Anissina, who didn't look too impressed with her brother so far.

Anissina powered her claws to counteract Mon*Star's attack. He fired and she fired the beams meeting between the two. Something was wrong... Anissina couldn’t push back her brother's Light*Star. That moon- thing not only changed his appearance, but, made him more powerful!

The Light*Star completely rammed through and hit Anissina knocking her off her table perch. She landed on the ground and like she was down for the count. She saw her brother coming towards her. What was he going to do now--- finish her?

(Detia)
Mon*Star leaned down and picked up the injured beast woman by the neck.

"Now, dear sister, you have two choices. I'll either squeeze your neck until your head pops off, or you join my Mob. Because you know, family should stick together." He then began to laugh the infamous cackle that sent shivers down almost every person in Limbo's spine. Anissina began to gasp as her brother began to slowly crush her throat.

"Okay I'll join!" she managed to get out.

She would go along with her brother, but, it didn't mean Anissina was going to play nice. She was going to get Mon*Star for this humiliation... somehow.

"Good. Now come will me to your new home, Brim*Star." Mon*Star said dropping his sister.

"SkyRunner!" he called. A giant armored squid flew to the front of the diner. Mon*Star pointed to Anissina and SkyRunner put one of his tentacles into the building picking her up. The Planet Master exited and mounted his pet. "Back to Brim*Star!" he ordered.

When he returned to Brim*Star, Mon*Star called all of the mob to meet before his throne so he could introduce his younger sibling.

"Everyone, I'd like to introduce a new Mob member, My little sister, Anissina."

"Gee, Boss, I didn't even know you had a sister!" Yes Man replied as he looked Anissina up and down. He jumped back when she hissed at him.

"It's about time you got another female in here! I'm tired of being the only woman surrounded by all you funky guys!" Melodia screeched.

"All right then, Melodia. Since you're so glad she's here, why don't you show her around?"

"Me, Planet Master?"

"Isn't that what I just said? Now get moving!"

Melodia scowled at her Boss. This was what she got for those times she had gone against him! The feline creature glared back at her with hate. She couldn't have kept her mouth shut, could she? Grumbling silently to herself she waved Anissina to follow her as she clenched the strap of her keyboard with impotent anger. She supposed the first thing she ought to show the Planet Masters sister to her sleeping quarters.

"Come on. I know the perfect place to put you." She said.

Anissina turned to follow this green haired character giving her brother one more nasty look. His face was not a definite read. Anissina knew what he was thinking without seeing his expression. She knew he loved the fact that he had her in his clutches and she was powerless and hated it.

As the pair walked through the corridors of the fortress Anissina felt like she was home. Like the boiling hot outside, hollowed out planet, with it jagged rocks sticking out from the ground, the interior of the stronghold was like the inside of almost any building of her dimension.

"Here we are." Melodia said, her voice still as venomous and annoyed as before.

Melodia really didn't want to play hostess. She had better things to do with her time. She  knew she was on Mon*Star's risky list and it wouldn't do to annoy him much more right now. So no matter how much she detested it, she'd play nice to his sibling. She just hoped she wouldn't be chained to this Anissina all day.

Anissina inspected the doorway. It was almost too small for her to walk through. The inside was dim. The beast woman soon remedied that with a portable light she found on a hollow space in the left wall. It was dusty like everything else in the room probably was. She waved her clawed hand over the orb and it began to glow. Anissina could now see the rest of her place. There was a bed, the space in the was and that was it.

"What do you think?" Melodia asked with a mocking concern.

"It will do. My people don't sleep much anyway." Anissina replied as she walked out.

"That explains the boss getting us up at all hours." Melodia thought.

"Are you ready to continue to the tour?" Melodia said crossing her arms over her chest.

"Yeah! What else do you have to show me?"

"I wish I could show her my Sound Smasher in action." Melodia thought.

"From her attitude she seems to think that since I'm related to Mon*Star I'm on his side." Anissina thought as Melodia motioned for her to follow.

"That's far from the truth, but, I won't reveal that fact just yet... It may come in handy down the line." She continued to tell herself.

Melodia showed her the main living area, where they ate, gave her an escort of the dungeons, and showed her the transformation chamber. Would the Moon*Star effect his little sister in the same way, Melodia wondered and decided that to voice that question would only end up in folly.

Maybe she could show her SkyRunner's stable and feed her to the Space Squid.

"Oops. Sorry, Mon*Star. Guess he was hungry today!" She grinned at that thought.

Her eyes were fixed on the intricate crystal set up above Mon*Stars throne. According to Melodia when the whole planet was tilted towards the Moon*Star it's ray came into the hollowed out planet. When they did the hit the crystals and a concentrated beam shot down to the throne and Mon*Star could transform. This was something her original home did not have. Anissina's dear brother must have discovered the Moon*Star some how when he came to Limbo Galaxy. Weather or not any beast creature could absorb the rays was a mystery now. If it was possible then Anissina would be on equal ground with Mon*Star. Perhaps being exiled and finding Mon*Star wasn't so bad after all.

When Melodia noticed the blank stare of Mon*Star's sister, she decided to move the tour along, but was interrupted by one of the Mob.

"Are you finished with her yet?" Hardware growled from behind. "We got to get those space limo's overhauled. Getting to where they can't even outrun that blasted SprintHawk anymore."

"Ok, Hardware, I'm coming. Keep your shirt on!" Melodia turned back to Anissina. "That's pretty much the whole tour. If you want a tour of the galaxy, your on your own. Come on, Hardware. Let's get these vehicles fixed so I won't have to listen to you whine and moan about them!"

Soon the beast woman was left alone. She may have been quiet but there was a lot going on in her twisted mind.

"I'm going to find out how to tap into the power of the Moon*Star for myself if it's the last thing I do!"

Comet didn't like being on the side lines or being hooked up to monitors. It reminder her of her father too much. She remembered first seeing him in his cryo-coffin as Guenevere Roman, grieving daughter. Then, months latter, as Comet, proud savior of the SilverHawk program. Now she had to concentrate on recuperating and then preparing to face off with the new enemy in Limbo.

Quicksilver stopped by to check on the brave SilverHawk.

"Hey, Comet. How are you feeling?"

"Like I got hit dead on by a space freighter. I could be worse. At least I survived."

"Yes. That creature was pretty vicious. I'm glad you're on the road to recovery, Gwen."

"So am I. Thanks for stopping by, Jonathan."

"It's the least I could do for a fellow Hawk."

Quicksilver had to admit he was worried about her. She should take it easy for awhile, no need jumping back into the storm like this. But he knew it would do no good to tell her this. So he kept his peace.

After pulling off a couple of jobs with the Mob (a few freighter hijackings, a couple car jackings, and a few protection racket jobs) Anissina was getting used to Mon*Star's deadly denizens. When it came time for her brother to get into the fray, she would watch him transform from a hairy, snaggle tooth fiend to an armored monster. Each time she observed this process very carefully.

"So, Yes Man operated the machinery while Mon*Star sits on the throne. It's a two person process. Damn! Who am I gonna get to operate the machinery while I'm on the throne? I doubt Yes Man would do it...unless I 'persuade' him somehow..." The wheel of Anissina's devilish mind were turning.

Anissina paced her quarters thinking over her options. She could attempt to seduce the snake man. He had been making eyes at her since she came to Brim*Star. No, it might not work, he might not be willing to believe that she was interested in him. Especially since the beast woman always hissed back when Yesman even looked at her. Another option was bribery. She had a small collection of stolen trinkets that nearly got her caught. One piece came from home. A palm-sized deep red jewel that she had stolen from her mother, who stole it from the Peiczar (ruler of the beast people). No again, she wasn't losing another priceless gem not even to fight Mon*Star! That only left threatening, her second specialty. Too bad it was so simple. As far as Anissina could tell Yesman was a pushover.

Anissina found Yesman puttering around the throne room doing a maintenance check on the transformation chamber. She didn't see anyone else around. Not even her brother.

'He's all alone. Good. Now here's my chance!'

Yesman was mumbling to himself, unaware that he was being observed.

"Why am I the one who has to fix this crummy machine? Hardware is much better suited. I'm not the handyman around here, stupid contraption!"

(KM)
"You operate that 'stupid contraption' almost daily. You know this machine better than anyone."

Yesman turned around to see Anissina looming over him.

"What do you want?!" he asked trying to back away and realizing he couldn't.

"Can't you see I'm busy here!"

"I need you to do something that would mean a great deal to me." Anissina asked trying to sound sweet.

"Like what, Ani, I don't have time for games."

The beast woman growled in annoyance.

"It's AniSSINA. I want you to finish repairing the transformation machine and operate it while I'm on the throne."

"Operate it while you're on the throne? But only Mon*Star is allowed to use the transformation chamber!"

Anissina had now run out of patience.

"Well, now I'M going to use it! Now either you prepare for transformation or I'll spread your entrails across the floor, you worm!"

By this time Yesman was wedged between the angry beast woman and the machine trembling with fear. Anissina raided a clawed hand above the frightened flunky and prepared to strike.

"All right, I'll do it! Yes, I'll prepare for transformation! Just don't kill me!"

Of course, there was no way he was going to tell this beast woman that he himself had once enjoyed the power offered by the transformation chamber. He looked into her eyes which held that crazy look that spoke of no way to reason with the creature. Humbly, he fumbled with the last few wires and hoped that she would kill him before Mon*Star would get a chance after he found out he let the Bosses sister use the infernal contraption.

"Is everything ready?" Anissina asked with her claws still ready to strike.

"Yes, yes, Anissina! Everything is ready."

"Good." she replied before turning towards the throne.

When she reached the top Yesman began pushing buttons and pulling levers. Anissina's heart pounded as the claws of the throne lined up. She still didn't now for sure if she would survive the power of the Moon*Star. Then she could feel the planet tilting to receive the Moon*Star's rays. The beast woman looked up at the crystals set above the throne, just as she had her first day on Brim*Star. Now she saw the red beam starting to shot down into them. The concentrated beam hit the throne with great force that it knock Anissina to her knees. She looked at Yesman and he was about to turn the machine off.

Mon*Star was in his private quarters doing a rare thing for his kind, sleeping. Suddenly her was knocked out of bed and wide awake.

"NO!" Anissina screamed as she pulled herself up.

"It works... I'm not dead! Now the recite the incantation." Anissina thought.

"Moon*Star of Limbo, give the might..."

Already the beast woman could feel herself changing.

"... the muscle, the menace of Mon*Star!"

Yesman began turning everything back to normal. Anissina looked herself over. She could feel so much strength coursing through her and crimson red armor covered her body. She felt her head. It felt the same just minus her mane of hair. She extended her claws and they were now a golden color. She touched them together and felt a charge that would normally take her a minute to power up.

"All that in not even a second!" she laughed.

The Planet Master had finally made his way to the throne room.

"What the hell is going on here!" He gasped in shock when he saw a newly transformed Anissina and a terrified Yesman trembling next to the transformation equipment.

"Hello brother. Like my new look?" his younger sister growled as her eyes took on a menacing glow. Before he could make a move, Anissina had struck him with the Light Star.

Seeing that her brother was completely paralyzed Anissina took a crouched position and jumped off the throne. She landed a few inches away from Mon*Star.

"Now, dear brother, it's MY turn." she proclaimed circling like a vulture.

"We'll see about that, sister dear! SKYRUNNER!" Mon*Star shouted.

In moments, the huge space squid appeared at his ledge.

"Sic her!" He screamed at his mount.

The monstrous red hulk tried to maneuver in the space of the transformation room, but he was too big.

Anissina hit SkyRunner with another blast of the Light*Star.

"You, go back to you stable and stay there." she ordered pointing a finger at the space squid.

Being under Anissina's control SkyRunner instantly did as he was told.

"Now for you..." Anissina said as she turned back to Mon*Star.

"How would you like yourself medium of well done?"

While all this was going on, Yesman slithered off, frantically searching for the first mobster he saw. He was really in for it now. He was close to hyperventilating by the time he saw Mumbo Jumbo.

"Oh, oh, oh! Mumbo! The Boss needs you in the Transformation Chamber right away!" Yesman nearly begged the huge bull.

Mumbo rushed down the corridor with Yesman in tow. As they got closer to the throne room they could hear screams of pain. Yesman stopped feeling like he was about to collapse.

"Hurry, Mumbo! The boss... she'll kill him." the snake man huffed.

Mumbo was already out of his sight. When Mumbo Jumbo got the doorway of the throne room he could see an intense bright light flashing out.

Mumbo roared, angry at anyone who would dare to attack his Boss. He flexed his muscles and his eyes glowed. The red bull activated his body enhancer and his muscles and himself as a whole enlarged to gargantuan proportions, ready to take anyone on. He ran, blind mad into the fray, at full charge of the woman menacing his Boss.

Before Anissina could react to he opponent the oversized bull rammed her. The great lioness was sent flying across the room. Mon*Star fell to the floor barely conscious. Through his vision was blurry the he could see both Mumbo and Anissina ready to fight.

Mumbo grabbed her throat and used his weight to pin her to the floor. Smoke billowed from his nostrils and the only thought going through his mind was to kill this creature!

"No! I'm not going like this. My brother didn't get the honors and neither will you." Anissina thought as she jammed her claws into Mumbo's hands. Roaring in pain the giant bull let go of her throat. Anissina took her chance and blasted Mumbo with the Light*Star.

Mumbo roared in pain and was flung back across the room, hitting the floor hard and rolling to a dazed stop. He snorted and shook his head with fresh anger feeding his movements. He bellowed again and charged, heedless of his own safety. His mind was all consumed with rage and he hurled himself at the lioness again, hoping to impale her on his horns.

Before Mumbo could make impact Anissina jumped up and out of the way. She landed on the enraged bull's back.

Mumbo skidded to a halt and reached back with his arms, trying to grab at her and tear her off his back. She held firm with her claws digging into his body. When this attempt to dislodge her failed, Mumbo looked for the nearest wall and ran for it. At the last moment, he leapt up and spun around, slamming back first into the wall. The wall might as well have been made of butter for it gave way and he and his foe had sunk into a huge impact crater.

"Get off of me!" Anissina yelled as she blasted Mumbo away with a blast from her claws. The force cause the bull to fly out of the crater. He slammed onto the ground as Anissina got up.

"Nice try!" she beamed as she stepped out of the hole in the wall.

"What's nex..." The beast woman couldn't finish her sentence. She felt strange, like she was weaker.

Mumbo stood up slowly though the anger still fed his movements. He shook his head to clear it a little and snorted. He did not fail to catch Anissina stumble a bit. His eyes glittered. He could wear her down. He still had a lot left and he could out last most Limboese in a fight.

He smiled with anticipation. She was about to lose it. He knew the signs well enough. With that information tucked away in his tiny brain, he charged again with smoke billowing from his nose and a roar in his throat.

"I can't believe he's charging again! I can still hold him off!" Anissina thought as she gathered her strength for another blast at Mumbo.

Mon*Star was now well enough to stand. He glanced over at Anissina. He could tell she was weaker now. The Planet Master remembered his first time absorbing the Moon*Star's powers. It was completely by chance and after it had happened he thought he was changed forever. Then he used up the energy and reverted back to his original form. It was painful, he remembered that all to well. Nothing like the nearly painless process of reverting at will.

Anissina was trying to hold off the raging bull as she felt her powers slipping. Then she could create no more defense. She was changing back to her real self.

Anissina slumped bonelessly to the floor, lacking even the energy to rise to her feet.

Mon*Star approached, eyes gleaming in cruel humor. "Should we try that again, little sister, or are you ready to talk about how you can serve me since you're here?"

She lifted her face tiredly, feeling the agonizingly slow return of her abilities. It would be hours before she could work up even enough charge to stun a fly.

"I'll talk," she gritted out.

Glancing over a Mumbo Anissina felt relieved that he finally stood down. It was more on her brother's orders that his own judgment.

"I wonder how long it will be before I can stand up again?" she thought glancing back at Mon*Star.

Mumbo snuffled a question that Anissina didn't understand but Mon*Star seemed to.

Mon*Star shook his head, "No, Mumbo. I want you right here for a while, to remind my dear sister that she had better keep her peace or you will inflict some real damage upon her." He laughed. "Nice try, Anissina, but you will have to do better than that." He motioned for Mumbo Jumbo to pick her up and keep her arms pinned. "Take her to our best cell and lock her in. YOU will keep watch over her. I will figure out what to do with her later, now I must deal with a certain, pathetic, weasely, snake."

Mumbo put Anissina into a cell with a force field. Even when she was completely recharge she couldn’t get through the energy barrier.

Anissina tried to sit up on the bench of the otherwise plain cell. Her body still ached to much so she just lay down. She could see Mumbo standing guard outside her prison.

"Don't worry... big guy... it'll be a while." she said with an evil grin.

Mon*Star was prowling the corridors for Yesman. His star eye patch was glowing with a wild fury. That worm wasn't going to get away with betraying Mon*Star, the Planet Master.

Meanwhile, a frantic Yesman was slithering as fast as he could down the hall, dithering and moaning and laminating over his pending doom. He had to get off this rock somehow! It would be the only way he could save his skin! Maybe... maybe, somehow get rid of Anissina, make the Boss happy again. But how?

Then the idea struck him. That was it! The SilverHawks! Surely they would prefer arresting Anissina over him. She was a much bigger fish. But he'd have to arrange it so they WOULDN'T arrest him!

Neutral ground was what he needed for such a negotiation. A beam of hope washed over him as another idea struck him. The Sini Star Diner! The Light Year Limit! He was SAVED! Now, if only he could get there!

The hanger... He needed to get to the hanger. He could get there without meeting Mon*Star in route. Now Yesman wished he had let Anissina make him into a purse. Maybe he could hide somewhere...

His only hope was not to run into any of the mob. He wrung his hands and slinked in as quietly as he could to the hanger. One of the limo's had been finished, souped up and certain to outrun the Sprint Hawk. Now, he had to hurry, he was certain the Planet Master would skin him if he was caught. He leapt into the space limo and started the engine up, sweat covered his brow.

The engine roared to life sounding much stronger that before. Yesman knew that the noise could attract unwanted attention. It was inescapable he needed to get away. The snakeman took off thanking the gods that he no longer needed to whap the engine with his tail to keep it going. He sped out of the hanger and the whole Brim*Star in disbelief. He actually had some good luck, for now, at least.

WindHammer was at the monitor and took note of the unauthorized departure. He turned on the intercom and spoke into the mike.

"Planet Master, someone has stolen a space limo. Shall I shoot it down?" This was broadcasted out all over Brim*Star.

"Stolen limo?!" Mon*Star thought when he heard the announcement blare over the communication system.

"Yesman!" the Planet Master roared as he rushed to back to the throne room.

He entered the throne room finding WindHammer at the Controls waiting for instructions.

"Yes! Fire, but just stop him. I want to make that snake suffer!" Mon*Star ordered.

"Whatever you say, Boss!" WindHammer said and obediently went to the weapons board. "Shall I fire a snag missile?"

Mon*Star nodded silently and WindHammer did as ordered without further ado.

Yesman had just made it outside of Brim*Star. He still found it hard to believe that he had made out undetected. Or had he? He suddenly heard a beeping noise. Instantly he knew it was the weapons detection system. Looking at the monitor Yesman saw it was a snag missile. This was it Mon*Star was coming for him.

Thank the Moon*Star that the engine had been souped up! He fired the boosters and the space limo streaked out of reach and he sailed towards the relative safety of the Light Year Limit. Perhaps it was time to hail Hawk Haven....

Yesman took refuge behind an asteroid. He couldn't take moment to calm down, he needed to act now. Even if he tried it would be no use. His future was still in free fall even now that he had escape Brim*Star. Hand trembling he turned to radio on and picked up the receive.

Comet was at her work station looking over case files concerning Anissina. She was treating the next time they met, whenever it would be, like an upcoming fencing match. She hadn't been a champion because of luck. No, she studied her opponent almost fanatically. She was reading one of the last file when she heard an incoming call.

"Hey, are you guys sleeping on the job or what? Hello? Hello? Where's the cops when you NEED them? Hello!!!! This is an emergency!" Yesman gibbered into the speaker.

Comet couldn't believe her ears, that was Yesman she was hearing. The snakeman sounded scared out of his mind.

Comet picked up her receiver. "What in Limbo are you calling here for, Yesman?"

"You sure took your sweet time answering! This is important! I'm in big trouble here!"

"Behave yourself or I'm hanging up and your on your own."

Oh great, it's Comet. This was perfect! Nothing like a little rivalry to go in his favor!

"Listen, if you want to get Anissina, you better come to the Sin*star Diner. But you gotta promise you wont arrest me first! Deal?"

Comet knew there was a chance that this could be some kind of trap. But, Yesman's voice has so much fear in it even though he had calmed down.

"Yesman... before I say anything, what guarantee do I have that you won't double cross me?" Comet asked in a no nonsense tone.

(Snakelady Frohike)
"What's the point? What can I possibly say to make you believe me other than my life's been a complete misery since Anissina came to live at Brim*Star. And now Mon*Star is looking to skin me because his sister forced me to help her hurt him. You hate her, I hate her, Mon*Star hates her! Come on... what have you got to lose? You can even bring another SilverHawk to Sin*star Diner if you want!" Yesman begged.

Comet thought there was a resemblance, but nothing as close as siblings. It certainly did explain Anissina's nature. She was easily as vicious as Mon*Star.

"Your really in over you head this time. Alright, I'll come with Quicksilver. When should we meet you?"

Yesman did not hide the relief he felt, "If you can leave now, I'm sure we'll get there at about the same time!"

Comet nodded. "I think I can drag Quicksilver out of bed and be there soon."

"Good." Yesman replied before hanging up.

Comet hung up her end and headed out of the control room.

Yesman floored it and sped as fast as the space limo could go to Fence.

For the first time in the last few hours he felt a kind of relief. He was going to be saved! Maybe if he got Anissina out of Mon*Star's hair, the Boss would forgive him.

Sleep was peaceful and dreams were your world. It was the perfect escape, especially when you weren't sure if you'd make it to the next day. Everyone had that worry, but for a SilverHawk it was just amplified. In a dream world a luxury of fantasy was available. It doesn't last forever something always brings you back to real. Tonight for Quicksilver it was the sounding of someone at the door of his quarters.

Quicksilver grunted and heaved himself out of bed. He was surprised to see Comet standing there on the other side of the door.

"Something up or is this a house call?" He smiles.

(KM)
Comet smiled back. "It's the first one. I just got off the line with Yesman. Apparently Anissina got him into big trouble with Mon*Star, who's her brother by the way, and now he wants to help turn her in to save his skin."

(Snakelady Frohike)
"So," Quicksilver mused. "He's offering us a bigger fish. What's the catch?" With the Mob, one always expected things were never to come easy.

(KM)
Comet knew that was the truth.

"So far I see the catch being that we don't arrest. That doesn't bother me much. It Anissina I'm after."

(Snakelady Frohike)
Quicksilver shrugged. "So, I suppose Yesman has her all wrapped up and ready for us to haul away? I can't wait." Quicksilver was less than enthusiastic. He had a bad feeling about this. Something just didn't sound right.

(KM)
"That's pretty much wishful thinking. Now, I've got to get this headdress off so I can put a hood over my head."

She really didn't want to drag Jonathan into this. But after hearing the story about Midori being ambushed at the diner she never wanted to do something like this alone. Comet knew that Jonathan would come with her no question.

Quicksilver nodded.

"I'll wait for you in the hanger." As he and Comet walked back out in opposite directions, Jonathan thought to himself as he contemplated on what vehicle they should take off in, 'You know, we really need a two seater space craft. Or some kind of paddy wagon.'

Comet soon arrived in the hanger with a slate gray cloak on. Her metal and liquid diamond spike were removed and only the metal headband remained. Comet had one of her liquid diamond spike with her just in case there was trouble. She had another cloak for Quicksilver.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Quicksilver put his arms up in a defensive position, "Whoa, watch out, you could put someone's eye out with that!" He said jokingly.

(KM)
Comet looked down at the spike. "On second thought maybe I shouldn't keep this out all the way."

She turns the spike back into a half and puts it on her mechanical arm. "It has always amazed me how the liquid diamond adheres to itself. Here put this on." Comet said as she handed  Quicksilver the other cloak.

"Which vehicle are we taking?"

(Snakelady Frohike)
"The Equalizer, I suppose. But we will need some sort of containment unit to put Anissina in once we arrest her." Quicksilver said. "Any ideas?"

Comet thought as fast as she could. She wished they were on their way already. Then it hit her.

"We still have that force field generator we loaned to Seymour to wrap up the 'Star of Bedlama' case, remember?"

(Snakelady Frohike)
Quicksilver grinned, "I had completely forgotten about that! Course, that was before Phantom's time here in Limbo. Okay, we'll bring it along. Let's get moving, Yesman may be cultivating a whole family of ulcers by now."

(KM)
"I couldn't have said it better myself." Comet noted as Quicksilver went to get the force field generator. While he did that Comet got one of the Equalizers. It was times like this she was glad Brightwing took care of those old things.

(Snakelady Frohike)
It was a rush job. Once Quicksilver was satisfied that the field wouldn't go out on them, he and Comet hopped onto the bike and sped out of Hawk Haven and onward to Fence.

(KM)
Neither Hawk knew what to expect at their destination. Both were almost foolishly hoping that Yesman had somehow subdued Anissina. She was formidable foe even for them. How did he angered Mon*Star in the process? Was it because she was his sister? Soon Quicksilver and Comet would have answers... the Light Year Limit was dead ahead and beyond that Fence.

Yesman was closing in on Fence and he put out a scan of the area for Mob activity and any possible sign of SilverHawks. Where the heck were those silver termites he worried himself another ulcer.

Comet looked over Quicksilver shoulder. She could see Fence ahead and Yesman. No sign of Anissina, maybe he had her hidden somewhere.

"This was it..." Quicksilver thought. "Hopefully this wasn't a mistake."

(Snakelady Frohike)
Quicksilver gunned it and the Equalizer sped to Yesman's space limo’s side. The relief on Yesman's face was embarrassingly obvious. Yesman pointed to one of the vacant asteroids circling Fence and Quicksilver warily followed him.

"Keep a sharp eye out for ANYTHING!" Quicksilver tells Comet.

"Right." Comet replied while trying not to laugh at Yesman.

When both vehicles were landed the snake man jumped out of the limo a big grin still on his face.

"I'm so glad your here! I'm saved." he explained.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Quicksilver put on his most 'Don't Mess With Me' looks and Yesman flinched, much to Jonathan's delight.

"Now, what is this about? Where's Anissina?" He demanded of the quivering snake.

(KM)
Comet hide a grin and thought. "He simply adores being in charge. And by the way Yesman's acting you'd think he's standing before Mon*Star."

"Anissina forced me to use the Moon*Star on her. It worked and she attacked Mon*Star. She almost killed him, but, Mumbo stopped her. After he drained her of the Moon*Star's energy Mon*Star had her locked away. I'm kinda guessing on that last part because I was running for my life." Yesman said in almost a single breath.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Quicksilver frowned. "So, we can have her, we just have to break her out of Brim*Star first?" He sighed. "And how shall we do that, Yesman, ask Mon*Star? He'd never give us something if he thought it would make us happy, even if it was someone who tried to kill him."

(KM)
"Wait a minute..." Comet jumped in.

"If she was drained in a fight like Yesman said, Anissina'll be as weak a s a kitten. We could sneak into Brim*Star and steal her away right under Mon*Star's nose."

(Snakelady Frohike)
"With what? We don't have stealth technology. Of course, if there was a way for Yesman to interfere with their sensors on the approach." He looked over at the green snake for an answer.

(KM)
Yes Man knew he was risking a lot, but he was already in so much trouble. What was a little further down at this point?

"I might be able to do something."

(Snakelady Frohike)
Quicksilver glanced over at Comet who was watching their backs as well as keeping an ear on the conversation.

"What do you say? We go ahead with this? If we go storm the fortress, there's no turning back. We're doing Yesman here a favor. There's no need to go swatting the hornet's nest when it's been quite for a while. We can wait until they do something, when we HAVE to fight, not go out looking for one like the twins so often do." He asks her because he valued her opinion and it would be her ass on the line too.

(KM)
Comet put aside the thoughts of her last confrontation with Anissina and started to thing practically. If they went to Brim*Star now they would risk facing a very enraged Mon*Star as well as the dangerous criminals he commanded.

"Maybe we should hold this off. Yesman, do you have a place to hide out?"

(Snakelady Frohike)
Yesman blinked. "Are you offering me sanctuary?"

"I take that as a no." Quicksilver sighed. "Fine, we'll secure a place for you to stay that will be safe." He thought he'd never have to say that to a member of the Mob, but there's always a first time for everything.

(KM)
"What exactly are we going to do, Quicksilver? Take him back to Hawk Haven? I can just see everyone's face." Comet said to the equally bewilder Quicksilver.

(Snakelady Frohike)
"And have the Commander yell at us for hours? Hell no! But we do need a secure place. What about the Penal Planet?" He really had no idea where to put Yesman.

"Oh no!" Yesman interrupted. "I don't care if you put me in a tiny, little box with no windows, I WON'T go back there EVER!"

(KM)
After hearing that testimony Comet knew that the Penal Planet wasn't an option in this case. The last thing she wanted was to jeopardize the chances of Yesman helping to capture Anissina. Comet couldn't think of any other option besides Hawk Haven.

"I hate to say this... Get you earplugs out because I think we'll be hearing the Commander yell. I can't think of anywhere else either."

(Snakelady Frohike)
Quicksilver shook his head unhappily. "I think you're right. But no way are we taking him without restraining him first! Anyone who'd betray his Boss isn't trustworthy."

(KM)
Quicksilver got back on the Equalizer and activated the force field generator. Yesman hardly flinched when the energy hit him. He understood this was purely for show. Comet jumped into the limo, figuring they just can't leave it.

(Snakelady Frohike)
"Keep your armaments live in that thing and your eyes peeled. If we run into trouble, you're my backup." Quicksilver called to Comet.

(KM)
She gave him a thumbs up as she started to limo. Before the took off Comet quickly found how to turn on the weapons.

"These things certainly are user friendly!" she thought.

Soon she and Quicksilver were headed back home.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Quicksilver opened up a coded channel to Hawk Haven.

"Quicksilver to Commander Stargazer, Quicksilver to Commander Stargazer. Coming home with a...." he paused trying to think of a ginger way to put it, "guest that will require 'special' attention! Suggest that we're met at the hanger with appropriate security, over."

The Commander had dozed off in the middle of going over some papers. He was woken up by Quicksilver's message. Half awake he heard something about a guest.

"Wh-What in blue blazes is going on here, Quicksilver?! Where are you?" Stargazer answered still not quite awake.

(Snakelady Frohike)
"Enroute from Fense. Got a situation. I'll explain everything once we get back to Hawk Haven." Quicksilver really didn't want to have to explain it over the com. He wasn't even sure if he COULD explain it.

(KM)
"Alright, I'll have everything in place when you arrive." Quicksilver heard the Commander reply. He began to feel uneasy when Brim*Star was coming into view. Hopefully he and Comet could get by without trouble.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Mon*Star was chewing sticks at Yesman's hasty exit. He stormed up and down in the transformation chamber.

"Have you located that snake scum yet, WindHammer?" Mon*Star growled at his fellow mobster which was manning the main computer terminal and view screen.

(KM)
"Nothing yet, Boss." WindHammer replied with surprising ease.

Even thought he was fairly used to being look-out in these situations no one liked to be near Mon*Star when he was angered. The suddenly, blessedly there were two blips on the radar.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Mon*Star's head spun around at the sound.

"Enlarge that!" If that's him, fetch him back here! If it's not... keep looking! No telling what that babbling buffoon has blurted and to whom! Get him back here, WindHammer, or I'll make sure you will get to suffer the pain I plan on inflicting on that ungrateful worm instead!!!!"

WindHammer didn't say a word as he punched at the controls. This was, so far, his lucky night. The image that came up on the screen was of Quicksilver on an Equalizer with Yesman in a force field and Comet in the stolen limo.

"It's him with two SilverHawks."

(Snakelady Frohike)
Mon*Star bellowed in triumph. "Gather the others, WindHammer! Bring him and those Aluminum Hawks back here! Fail me and you will wish you were dead!" Mon*Star glared at the screen and balled his fists in anticipation, trying to decide what manner of slow, agonizing torture he could inflict upon a disobedient servant and two officers of the law.

(KM)
WindHammer put out the bulletin over the intercom.

Soon Melodia, Hardware, BuzzSaw, Mo-Lec-U-Lar and Timestopper had gathered in the in the hanger. All except the bots looked angry over being woken up.

"This had better be good! I was getting my beauty sleep." Melodia screeched.

"Beauty sleep?! You'd have to sleep for a century!" Timestopper jeered.

The other began to laugh.

"Watch it, you little punk!"

"ENOUGH!" WindHammer demanded hitting his tuning fork against the floor. As lightning filled the air everyone cringed.

(Snakelady Frohike)
WindHammer resumed once he got everyone's attention. "Listen up, we have to pick up Yesman, Quicksilver, and Comet before they reach Hawk Haven. Follow me in the limo's!"

(KM)
It was so far so good going past Brim*Star.

"I think we'll make it!" Comet called out to Quicksilver.

Quicksilver nodded back to her then looked to the infamous planet. That when he saw the limos coming out of the carter. The Mob knew they were there.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Quicksilver swore. He knew it was going to well. "Comet, we got company and the house is a mess!"

Comet saw the enemy approach and tracked her weapons on them. They were still too far away to fire so she waited.

"Oh dear!" Yesman tried to curl himself in a small ball.

(KM)
The 'Hawks and Yesman knew the fight had begun when the heard the distinctive sound mix of music and a laser firing. Melodia was starting things off.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Quicksilver shouted to Comet, "Comet, we're going to split up. You flank 'em on the left, and I'll flank 'em on the right. It's our only course."

(KM)
The vehicles split up just in time to avoid the musical assault. Comet made a few attempts at hitting Melodia's Sound Smasher with her Liquid Diamond spike.

(Snakelady Frohike)
When he was close enough, Quicksilver used his shoulder lasers as his weapons. His first shot missed the limo's completely. He was more adept at firing while he was in his flight mode.

(KM)
Timestopper knew that with him here all this laser fire was unnecessary. He hated to do it, but he decided to use his watch. He had a perfect view of the targets. Fortunately unlike the original model the new one looked like an ordinary wrist watch. It was less of a target that way. He pressed the button and concentrated on the 'Hawks.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Quicksilver swerved to miss a hit aimed at him via Melodia. He was just able to readjust the angle of his vehicle but suddenly his actions, which should be at their peak seemed to get slower and slower. Until he noticed that he was barely moving at all, he suddenly realized too late that Timestopper must be among them. Great, they were toast. He barely had time to push the distress beacon on his vehicle before time literally stood still for him, Yesman, and Comet. The last conscious thought he had was would the Commander even hear his distress beacon in time?

(KM)
WindHammer banged his tuning forked against the side of the limo. He conjured up a small twister to pick up the 'Hawks and Yesman in. He knew he had to work quickly because he only had a minute before Timestopper had restart time.

The Commander had Firefly and Condor in his office. He was attempting to explain what was going on when an S.O.S came.

"What the Devil?" Commander Stargazer had a bad feeling. He punched the button so they could hear the signal. That distinct sounding distress beacon was from Quicksilver's Equalizer. Damn! And the last he had spoken with Quicksilver, the Hawk was in range of Brim*Star. He knew in his old bones that Mon*Star must have captured them.

"New change of plans, Hawks. Alert the others. We got a rescue mission over at Brim*Star. Quicksilver and Comet may not have much time, so MOVE IT!" He slammed his augmented fist down on the console in fury. Damn Mon*Star! Quicksilver he wasn't worried too much about, it was having Comet in the depths of Brim*Star that churned his stomach. Please let Firefly and Condor reach them in time!

(KM)
Both Firefly and Condor knew that Gaze was worried about Comet. They were as well. She had a strike against her that Quicksilver didn't being was one of the older 'Hawks.

As the pair rushed to get the team together Quicksilver, Comet and Yesman were brought before an enraged Mon*Star.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Yesman bellied to the ground, trying to bow as low as physically possible. He trembled and knew the Planet Master was about a millimeter away from turning him into a new pair of boots for Melodia.

"Boss! Boss! You've got to understand! I went looking for a way to get rid of Anissina! That's the only reason I left! I knew you wanted to be rid of her. What better way to punish her then give her to our enemies?" It was a weak plea, but more truth than Yesman was used to spewing at a time. He hoped Mon*Star would be receptive to the truth. But, what were the chances of THAT????

(KM)
Mon*Star kicked Yesman into an upright position. Then with lightning reflexes grabbed him by the neck. He picked him up bring him eye to eye.

"How dare you even defy me in the first place?!" he growled as lightning sparked from his eye patch.

"She threatened to rip me apart! I swear it's the truth, Boss!" a terrified Yesman replied.

(Snakelady Frohike)
"That's a poor excuse!" Mon*Star yelled and Yesman cringed. He tossed Yesman away and before the snake hit the ground, hit him with the Light Star. Yesman cried and struggled against the holding beam in agony and while he was otherwise occupied, Mon*Star finally turned to Quicksilver and Comet. "Now, on to more important matters." He made as if to caress Comet's face.

(KM)
Comet knew exactly what Mon*Star meant as she took a step back.

"Don't you dare touch her, Mon*Star." Quicksilver barked.

"I don't think your in a position to be shouting out orders." the Planet Master said glaring at Quicksilver.

Quicksilver returned his captor's glare knowing he could do nothing else.

"WindHammer, monitor the space around Brim*Star, Hawk Haven is sure to notice their absence soon enough." Mon*Star ordered his lackey who rushed to the monitors to do his job. Mon*Star paced back and forth before his captives. "So, what am I to do with you now? Mumbo... take Quicksilver to the cells, lock him up next to his friend Anissina. My dear Comet, she will keep me company for a while yet." And he grinned evilly at Comet.

Mumbo grabbed Quicksilver and began to haul him off. The 'Hawk struggled desperately trying to get out of the bull's awesome grip.

Comet tried not to show how unnerved she was becoming as she was left with Mon*Star and totally at his mercy.

Mumbo laughed at Quicksilver's vain attempts to release himself. Why can't they always just go without a struggle, he thought as he knocked Quicksilver on the back of the head and the Hawk went out like a light. Mon*Star didn't even watch as the bull dragged an unconscious Quicksilver away. He only had eyes for Comet.

"Comet, you are as lovely as when you first came to Limbo." Mon*Star grinned as he grabbed Comet's right arm. With no weapon she had to try hand to hand combat. Comet made her left hand into a fist and attempted to hit Mon*Star. Her attempt was unsuccessful Mon*Star grabbed her hand before it could make contact.

"I'll knock the fight out of you soon enough." Mon*Star gripped her arms tighter and pulled her closer to him. "You can either do this the easy way, or the hard way. And I can promise you, you wont live through the hard way!"

(KM)
Comet lowered her head in act of self preservation, not in defeat. Mon*Star grinned evilly again and lifted his victim's chin and kissed her. When he finally pulled back Comet stared back in helpless disgust. She knew what was to happen next would be far worse. With an even bigger, more evil looking grin than before Mon*Star threw Comet over his shoulder like sack and started off to his quarters.

"Ah, my dear, if only you could envision the power I have. If you would only cooperate, become my slave, I shall give you some of that power. But you Hawks are notorious for shortsightedness and stubbornness. Whether you are willing or unwilling, it does not matter to me. You will be mine." He told her as he carted Comet off.

Comet wished she still had her liquid diamond spike. She was in a perfect position to jam it into Mon*Stars back. Unfortunately she was stuck just wishing for miracle.

Firefly, Condor, and the Twins were in the Maraj with Blue Grass pushing the ship as fast as it could go. Blue Grass prayed they were not too late

WindHammer watched the monitor just waiting for a blip to appear. For a moment he didn't think that anyone was coming. Then something appear on radar. Before alerting anyone he enlarged the image. It was the Maraj coming in fast.

Mon*Star threw Comet on to his bed and was about to pounce on her when he heard WindHammer over the intercom.

"Boss, the Maraj is closing in on Brim*Star."

Mon*Star chuckled, then said to Comet, "You're friends are ever so predictable." Then louder to WindHammer, "So blow them away and don't interrupt me again unless they have come to surrender Hawk Haven to me." And THAT was about as likely as Mon*Star winning the Mr. Congeniality award. "Now, let's get back to the really important matters, shall we, my dear?"

Comet was slightly relieved that her friends were close. But, she knew they would be too late to save her from Mon*Star.

WindHammer, and the others once again jumped into the limos and flew off into battle.

Blue Grass knew it was only a matter of time before they were met by the Mob. He was irritated that Quicksilver and Comet had taken such a risk on their own and without consulting anyone about it. Now look where they were. Blast Quicksilver's hide! What had he been thinking, dragging Comet across Limbo along with a gangster... might as well as broadcast it out to every thug in the area!

Melodia once again took the first shot.

Bluegrass easily dodged the musical laser fire. Then he opened up the cockpit and with Hot Licks in hand readied himself for another duel with the 'Mistress of Evil Notes'.

(Chajo)
Having secretly kept track of things, Phantom decided it was time to intercede. She had left to meet the Battle Cruiser she had requested to be sent this time around.

Not long after a group of ships came screaming past the Maraj. Four small single person fighter ships broke off and started harassing the Mobsters in the limos. The were doing enough damage to keep them confused and disorientated while at the same time avoiding the SilverHawks. Each ship bore the symbol of a Wolf Howling on a shield of Green and Burgundy. They also looked eerily like the Sprint Hawk.

The other ships continued on down into the creator of Brim*Star. A trio of Transport shuttles and a pair of escort ships each. As soon as one transport landed it disgorged it's passengers, it moved out of the way and let the next one after it do the same.

A group of twenty heavily armed men and women, all in fatigues, armor and helmets entered the Fortress at a run. Anyone in the way was taken down faster then they could blink. Fifteen went up to the top levels, the other five went down to the bottom levels.

The last one took it's time settling on the ledge. A small group exited this ship. One was of the same race as Yesman, but female. Instead of looking like a rattlesnake, she looked like a golden cobra. Following her to one side was a very tall white haired man dressed in gray, who was armed. And to the other side was a non-descript solider carrying a laser riffle. That one was dressed like the armed force that had entered a few moments earlier. There was no way to tell who it was without the helmet being removed.

Even though everyone was gone Yesman just stayed on the ground. He could barely move because of the effects of the Light*Star. Damn that Anissina, he was supposed to be leaving for New Eden soon. Yesman was pulled out of his thoughts by an alarm sounding. He painfully pulled himself up to the controls so he could see what was going on. Then he saw he didn't need to when a female golden cobra, a tall white hared man and a mystery solider came into the throne room.

With a motion of a hand from the white haired man, several other well armed soldiers came around the trio to grab Yesman. While they were not overly rough, neither were they gentle. The Cobra made her way gracefully across the room and up the steps to the throne. She sat and steepeled her hands below her chin. The man took up a position to her right, and the other one took up a position at the bottom of the steps. Another one joined the first on the opposite side, both stood at attention.

Meanwhile elsewhere in the fortress. A dozen armed troopers were preparing to force the doors to Mon*Star's rooms open. Below, the five were searching for anyone else.

Down in the dungeons Mumbo stood guard over the two prisoners. Anissina finally felt well enough to sit up. Even thought she could do that she was still barely twenty five percent herself. Quicksilver was still out.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Mumbo sensed the motion in the cell behind him and barked a warning to Anissina. He intensely disliked her. Suddenly, the internal alarm went off and Mumbo was torn between guarding the prisoner and going above to help fight the intruders.

Anissina perked up at the sound and hoped Mumbo would feel obligated to go upstairs. She hated to say it, but she needed the SilverHawk to escape and hoped the fool would wake up soon before their chance at escape was finished.

(Chajo)
Before Mumbo could do more then take a few steps in either direction, a group of five came around a corner. They didn't wait for him to make the first move, they did.

They each fired a small projectile at the mammoth bull robot. Each one hit where it was aimed for, none of the five were slouches The quickly reloaded and fired a second time. Again the projectiles hit the target.

Mumbo looked down at the ten small disk that were attached to him. He was annoyed more then anything and started to pump up to take the annoyances out.

"Overload em Boys!" the one in charge said. They all pressed a small stud on the but of their guns. Each of the disk whined to life, sending a huge surge of electricity though the robotic bull's body.

Shaking and jittering about at the sudden over surge of power, he collapsed and was out of the running.

"Open the door to the SilverHawk."

"What about the other one Sir?"

The one in charge went over to look at her and grunted, "Nothing was said about her. That means we could leave her and be done with it, But I have a Feeling her Grace wants this place in chaos when she leaves. Put a timer on the door controls to blow and release her in 10 minutes. Now grab that SilverHawk and let's go!"

Anissina smiled as the solders set things up with her cell and retrieved Quicksilver from his. She moved as quickly as possible to get to the back of her cell. The beast woman wasn't sure how much of a charge was in the bomb.

Back in the throne room Yesman was in a state of confusion and panic.

"Who are you? What do you want?" He asked the golden cobra.

(Chajo)
It was the white haired man that answered. "Your being taken back on her Grace's order." Titling his head in cobra's direction. "Lady Kali will tell you all that you need to know once everyone that matters has been gathered."

Below the thrown at the bottom of the steps, Phantom in the disguise of a armed escort, whished she could tell him what was going on. But that might cause a problem in the ruse.

Up above Brim*Star, the fight that was going on seemed strange. Once they Single man Fighters had driven off the Mob a decent distance from the hollowed out planet they pulled back and let the SilverHawks deal with them. The only time they got involved after the initial confrontation was if anyone, including the SilverHawks, tried to head to the Fortress.

And down a level a dozen well armed fighters were preparing to 'Invite' Mon*Star up to the throne room for a gathering.

"On the count of three….Three!" Small explosions blew the door off it's hinges and into the room, as the smoke cleared a dozen laser riffles were aimed directly at the Planet Master.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Mon*Star snarled at the intrusion. He was still above Comet and was about to penetrate her when the door was blown open.

"Fools!" He screamed and rolled off the bed, taking Comet with him and using her as cover from the guns. He lunged towards the escape hatch and dragged a struggling Comet with him.

(KM)
Mon*Star jumped down the chute with a terrified Comet. When they reached the other side, the hanger, Mon*Star took Comet and threw her into the back of a limo and got behind the wheel.

(Chajo)
The leader of the group signaled for a pair to follow and report back. He reported in his own self. "Sir? He got away with the female bird. Two are following and will report shortly." Turning he saw the five that went below coming up with the unconscious Quicksilver. "We got the other bird though,…… Yes sir!" Turning he motioned to the others. "To the Hanger boys, we're heading back to the ship."

Up in the Throne room, the White haired man frowned. "He got away with one of the birds Your Grace."

"Then inform the escort ships to make sure he can't go anywhere" Lady Kali said calmly. She then turned to Yesman and addressed him directly. "Is there anyone here that can take Mon*Star out without harming the Bird?"

(KM)
"Anissina. She'll go right for Mon*Star and ignore everyone else. But, she maybe too weak. The Moon*Star rays might kill her now." Yes man replied instantly.

(Chajo)
"Do you think she would be willing to chance it to go after him?" Lady Kali asked.

Down in the hanger, the pair came out of the chute not far behind Mon*Star and his captive. As soon as they were out then started firing at the Limo. Trying to damage it enough to either prevent or seriously hamper his escape.

(KM)
"Yes, Anissina will take any chance to get rid of Mon*Star. I learned that tonight"

The pair of solders were too late. Mon*Star had already started the limo and sped out of the hanger a full sped.

Mon*Star roared in triumph as he sped away from his defiled fortress. He'd have to go to the Light Year Limit. It was his only safe haven where the Hawks had no jurisdiction. He could gather his forces there at the Casino and then attack the interlopers later.

(KM)
Down in the dungeon Anissina had managed to crawl to a safe place and waited for the means of her escape. Finally 'boom' the charge the strangers set went off. The force field of her cell instantly fizzled out. Now the beast woman was free to do as she pleased.

(Chajo)
In the Throne Room, the White haired man reported what all was going on.

"Thank you Kit. Have the unconscious Hawk put on one of the troop transports, put the displaced trooper on our transport. Have the escorts harass the limo with Mon*Star in it. Don't let him land anywhere. I want him way beyond the Limit and anyone that could offer help." Lady Kali said as she stood up and left the throne, making her way to the bottom and to one side.

Kit, the white haired man, joined her along with the pair of escorts.

"Release him" She instructed to the pair holding Yesman. "Please take your place at the controls and ask for Anissina to come to the throne room." She said to Yesman.

(KM)
Anissina was so weak she had to hold on to the wall as she moved he was to the ramp that lead to the other levels. She stopped to take a rest when she heard Yesman over the intercom.

"Anissina, you are needed in the throne room."

"I'll be a while, worm." she huffed and the pressed on.

"Anissina's still weak, so she may be a while." Yesman told Lady Kali.

(Chajo)
Lady Kali nodded to Kit and he motioned to the two troopers that had held Yesman earlier. "Escort her here" was all he said. Both men saluted and set off at a brisk jog to find her and bring her to the throne room. If that meant carrying her the entire way then so be it.

(KM)
Anissina was near the ramp when she heard running coming down. She gasped when she saw two soldiers like the one that freed her approach.

"What do you want?" she growled.

(Chajo)
"We're here to see you to the Throne Room" was all one of them said. Trading glances then nodded. One moved to her right side, as the other to her left. They took her arms and put them over their shoulders then hooked their hands together behind her knees and lifted. Together then started carrying her to the Throne room. They were use to The Duchess and her occasional fits of temper so Anissina's growling was ignored.

Meanwhile, The escort ships were harassing Mon*Star, driving him towards the Light-Year limit, but playing a superb game to make it think he had a choice as to where he was going.

Back at the Fortress, Quicksilver was loaded unto the transport and strapped into one of the seats. A Trooper/Medic was checking to be sure nothing more then a knock on the head was wrong with him.

(KM)
When the troopers carrying Anissina arrived in the throne room the beast woman was surprised at what she saw.

"What has been going on? What do you want with me?" Anissina asked Lady Kali.

(Chajo)
"Mon*Star has taken off, running as it were. I'm offering you a chance to get revenge on Mon*Star for what he has done to you. But I am told that if you go though the transformation at this moment it might kill you. Are you willing to risk death to go after him?" Lady Kali asked. She watched Anissina closely. "He is fast approaching the Light-Year Limit and once he crosses he will have a chance to contact his loyal underlings for help. Once that happens….." She trailed off, letting the beast woman make her own assumptions about what is going on or happening.

(KM)
Knowing what her brother was capable Anissina decided that if she was to die she rather do it of her own accord.

"I'll take any risks necessary to destroy Mon*Star. Yesman, prepare for transformation."

(Snakelady Frohike)
Yesman sighed. "I knew you'd say that." He slithered over to the operations board and went through the maneuvers to get the transformation sequence started.

Anissina climbed up to the throne and accepted the Moon*Star light. It filled her body, pumping her up painfully. It was too soon... too soon after her first transformation. The pain was intense but she remained under the beam, determined to exact her revenge on her dear brother Mon*Star.

(Chajo)
As the transformation was taking place one of the escorts moved over to stand next to Yesman. "Just think, this is the last time you have to do this" the person said in a low voice, only meant for Yesman.

He whipped his head around so fast she thought he might get whiplash. After a few moments of staring, he blinked and mouthed the word 'Phantom?'

A bare nod of the head was the reply he got. A flood of relief rushed over him. He knew that soon he would be gone from this place and everything would be on the up and up from then on.

(KM)
The Moon*Star's light had fully rejuvenated Anissina and she was ready to change. She recited the incantation to transform into her more powerful self. More pain rushed through her as she change. She kept going. She would not let her brother win. Finally it was over and she was the great lioness again.

"SkyRunner!" she called.

The space squid instantly came when he heard his name. It may have been Anissina calling, but he was still partially under her control.

(Snakelady Frohike)
"I'll make him pay, mark my words!" Anissina growled.

Her saviors voice called after her, "Remember, no harm is to come of the SilverHawk Comet! That is the condition of your release!"

Anissina snarled. Conditions! All conditions were null and void if she couldn't get to Mon*Star in time!

(Chajo)
As soon as Anissina was gone on SkyRunner, the signal was given. Everyone headed for the transports to follow. A second space was left open on the transport Quicksilver was on for Comet. The displaced trooper joined the first on the one that carried Lady Kali, Kit, the disguised Phantom and Yesman. When all was said and done, that was one that would be making straight for the cruiser. No sense tempting the SilverHawks with having Yesman within their reach.

The escort fighters were given the order to drive Mon*Star back towards Brim*Star if at all possible without doing too much damage and without being damaged either. A com message was sent to the Maraj 'Inviting' them to join the 'fun' of harassing Mon*Star. They stood a better chance of getting Comet out of the clutches of Mon*Star.

It will be an interesting site once Anissina joins the fray.

"Lady Kali, what are you doing there? Where is Comet???" Stargazer grumbled into the speaker, demanding and expecting answers. "What in blue blazes is going on over there? Are my Hawks alright?"

(Chajo)
"Commander Stargazer, It's a Pleasure to greet you. As for your Hawks, one is currently unconscious, the other is in the clutches of Mon*Star. I'm sure you can guess who's who. As for what's going on, it's simple. The one known as Anissina is going after Mon*Star. I would advise your Hawks that are out and about to avoid getting in her path. I'll arrange for the one that is unconscious to be delivered back to you. Good Day, Commander." With that she cut the com transmission and chuckled.

Turning she glanced at Phantom, who was sitting next to Steele. "Is he always like that?"

Both answered her. "Yes."

(Snakelady Frohike)
Mon*Star went the shortest route to the Casino. He got Comet to sit still by using his light star when he realized she wouldn't go quietly. It was better this way, really, he thought grimly. She wouldn't talk so much then. The Light Year Limit seemed like it was a Light Year away. He ground his teeth in agitation. Betrayed, by a ground hugging, detestable scum of a space worm! Yesman bringing SilverHawks to his home! He almost ripped the steering wheel of it's post in anger. He would make Yesman writhe in agony and beg Mon*Star to kill him! He would get his most loyal and return and tear Hawk Haven's heart out!

Anissina was pushing SkyRunner to go as fast as he could. SkyRunner wasn't used to this treatment. Unfortunately the squid could do nothing because he was under Anissina control. At last she could spot the limo ahead. She fired a warning shot to get her brother's attention.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Mon*Star spun around and saw his sister fast approaching, and to pour salt on the wound, riding his mount! Infuriating sibling! Mon*Star put the pedal to the metal and careened through a cover of large asteroids to throw Anissina off his trail. Curse her! Curse Yesman! And most of all, curse those SilverHawks! Mon*Star's blood boiled with barely contained rage!

(KM)
Anissina wouldn't be detoured so easily. She made SkyRunner go into the asteroid field after Mon*Star. Fortunately the squid used his tentacles to throw some of the asteroids out of the way. Anissina could just blast them, but she knew she should be conservative. Her energy was going to be saved for her brother.

(Snakelady Frohike)
He knew the limo couldn't outrun SkyRunner. He hated to do it but he had to buy himself some time. He turned and shot one of his light stars at his fast approaching mount and grinned as the poor space squid squirmed away in instant retreat. SkyRunner knew what the light star was and what it could do and he wanted no part of it. So SkyRunner fled and the light star followed, chasing the terrified squid across space as Mon*Star charged ahead, pleased at his cunning.

"What are you doing?!" Anissina screeched. Then she saw a Light*Star blast coming her way. She tried to hit it with a blast of her own. Not one hit it's mark because SkyRunner kept moving. When the blast eventually hit SkyRunner Anissina jumped of the squid. While up in the air the beast woman realized she wasn't falling back down. She could fly in this form; the chase was back on.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Mon*Star careened across the asteroid field, knowing his lead might be slim. If Anissina was caught in the light star, he won. If she jumped ship, he won. Her arm jets could not match the limo's velocity. Pleased, he punched the gas pedal once he was out of the asteroids and saw the Starship Casino glittering in the distance. He hailed Pokerface.

"Pokerface! This is Mon*Star! Prepare to receive me and one SilverHawk who's ready to get her wings clipped. I've got a tail on me, so get whatever Mob you've got there and prepare an ambush for my sister!"

(Chajo)
After a few moments A Marine commander hails him back. "Sorry Mon*Star, Pokerface is.... Tied up at the moment. Oh and if you try to get any closer, I'll just have the Battle Cruiser open fire on you. New Eden claims this ship now and you'll be encroaching on our territory in an attempted act of Piracy. Good Day" A click as the com went dead.

Slowly from behind the Starship Casino, the stars rippled and faded as the cloaking technology was disengaged. The SilverHawks weren't the only ones that had that little piece of technology.

A Very large and majestic ship came into view. It's hull gleaming a silver-white. Along the side that was facing in Mon*Star's direction, the word "Opportunity" was painted. It was the name of the Battle Cruiser. Someone had, at one time, had the comment, "When I knock, you had better open the door", written along underneath it. It was decided later to keep it there.

Mon*Star used every curse word he could think of. Then he thought of some new ones. Once he did that, he got another idea. He still had Comet. She was his only way out of this mess. If he was going down, so was the SilverHawk sitting beside him!

"Attention, coup of my Casino, I suggest you stand down right now or the SilverHawk I have in captivity wont live to see another day! You MUST comply or the SilverHawk will die!" Mon*Star roared into the com unit.

(KM)
When Anissina finally caught up she was surprised to see the large cruiser. The strangers had kept up their end of all this. She could see that her brother was using Comet as a hostage so she landed on a asteroid. Anissina knew she had to wait for her chance because no harm was to come to Comet.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Mon*Star was becoming impatient. He wanted a response quickly before he had to think of another alternative. Of course, they may not give two hoots about the SilverHawk and he'd be out of just a few options then. They sported superior technology too and he wondered where they stole it from because he decided that he was being confronted by pirates and pirates weren't intelligent enough to invent such technology.

(Chajo)
The com crackled to life again. "Go ahead and kill her. Better yet, we can do it for you. No loss to us. Might even be thanked for it. After all you'd be vaporized too." A dry chuckle followed then the com cut off again.

Far off, fast approaching the Limit was two of the troop transports and their escort fighters.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Time was running out, the Planet Master knew. He had no idea what to do. He knew that his infuriating sister was out there somewhere and she probably had backup of some sort. And these goons thought to rob him of his prize, which ensconced the pirate idea even more permanently in his mind. Bastards! Then he remembered the survival kit that every limo had in the trunk of late at his insistence. Plastic's and a timer and a nice chunk of explosive. Perhaps he could swing up to the side of the pirate ship and attach the bomb onto the main engine. It was so large, it had to be slow and he was very maneuverable. He grinned. What a sterling idea!

(KM)
Anissina had been listening in negotiation and things seemed to be deadlocked. Now, to her surprise, she saw the limo beginning to move towards the ship. What was her brother planning? Was he actually attempting to escape?! This could not be allowed! Anissina jumped from her perch to intervene.

(Snakelady Frohike)
Mon*Star had to suddenly swerve from his path when the ship began to fire its multiple guns at him. Frustrated and angered, he turned 90 degrees and ran for it. His choices for freedom were becoming distressingly few and he racked his brains for a plan, but he was so blinded by anger, he couldn't strategize.

(KM)
Anissina shot herself above the gun fire. The strangers had done the job for her. Even with this intervention Anissina knew Mon*Star, he'd find some way.

Bluegrass finally got close to scene in time to see the gun fire.

Comet was still with the Planet Master. Blue Grass chased after Mon*Star, willing the Maraj to catch up with the Mob Boss.

Anissina spotted the Maraj coming thought asteroid field. What was going on?! How did the SilverHawks get here? Were they involved with the strangers? At the moment Zorvakh seemed to be their objective, but would they come after her next?

(Snakelady Frohike)
The only thing on Blue Grass's mind was to retrieve Comet alive and well. He'd never forgive himself if he failed in that. The red mote in space that was Mon*Star didn't ever seem to get any closer. The Mob must have supercharged their limo's because to make any headway at all, he was going to have to punch it hard.

(KM)
Anissina had seen Mon*Star escape from the 'Hawks before. He cold not be allowed to rally help. The beast woman also remembered her deal with the strangers. She knew what she had to do and partly hated it. After the objective was met she could worry about herself. Her chase was back on.

(Chajo)
While Bluegrass was chasing after Mon*Star, the two transports made their way to the battle cruiser. After docking the troops unloaded and headed towards the 'Marine Country', a section where the New Eden Marines stayed while onboard the cruiser. Zan, Kit, Kali and Steele headed in a different direction.

"Kali, do you have those papers ready?"

"Yes your Grace. They are waiting in you day cabin. They only need your signature and seal, and his." she said nodding her head towards Steele.

"Good, and thank you."

"It is no trouble your Grace."

Once in the Day Cabin Zan looked the papers over then handed them to Steele.

"Look them over before you sign. Once you do I sign and seal and you are officially a new Immigrant to New Eden with a position at Huntington Palace awaiting you. Your past will be just that, the past."

(KM)
He would no longer be 'Yesman', but, Steele again, it was going to be official. The snake man did as he was told. The document looked like what he and Zan had discussed a month ago. When he was finished Steele took the pen and signed.

"I have my new life. Maybe it'll be more than I hoped." He though looking at Zan and Lady Kali. Kali in particular.
